Different types of Salads

                                                                      Salad

salad is a dish consisting of a mixture of small pieces of food, usually vegetables or fruit. It is so important to eat salads regularly because,a large study showed that people who eat salad have significantly and consistently higher blood levels of key nutrients that protect against heart disease, as well as cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, immune system problems, eye and skin disorders – even wrinkles.

Here I  have described some delicious Salads :


    Green Salad                      
Ingredients-a) 2-3 Cucumber peeled and sliced
b) 2 to 3 tomatoes, cored and cut into thin sliced.
c)A piece of Lemon.
d)1 to 2 Carrots cut into thin sliced.
e)Some chills.
f)A onion cut into thin sliced.







    Macaroni Salad
Ingredient- a)Dry elbow Macaroni
b)Mayonnaise
c)Fat free yogurt
d)White wine vinegar
e)Mustard
f)Honey
g)Salt and Freshly ground black pepper
h)Boiled egg
i)Red bell pepper
j)Carrot
k)Celery
l)Red onion
m)Fresh Parsley 

Procedure-1)Cook Macaroni in salted water according to directions on package.
2)Drain and rinse with cold water until completely cool.Let drain very well.
3)In a medium mixing bowl stir together mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, vinegar,mustard honey and season with salt and pepper to taste.
4)Add well drained macaroni to a large mixing bowl along with eggs,bell pepper,carrots,celery and onion
5)Pour dressing over top, add in parsley and toss mixture to evenly coat.Serve or store in refrigerator up to 1 day.
